Experience on of Oahu's most iconic beaches. Waimea Bay is home to big wave riders as surf reaches 30+ feet during winter (October - April). Huge waves and strong rip currents make it very unsafe to swim or enter the water, but make great photo opportunities. The Eddie Aikau Invitational is held here in honor of Eddie and his heroic efforts of the Hokulea Voyage.

During the summer months, May to September, the bay is calm and glassy and great place for swimming, snorkeling, and diving.
